Common questions

How much does a plumber cost?

It depends on the job and how bad the problem is. That is why the first step is a phone call. Describe the problem and get your free estimate on the phone, with upfront pricing.

Will I talk to a real person?

Yes, you will.

Do I need to fill out a form?

No forms and no waiting on emailed quotes. One phone call is all it takes.

Can I get help at night or on a weekend?

We have plumbers ready to help families in the community 24/7, but moment-to-moment availability depends on demand. Call to find out how soon we can service your home.

Should I wait to call?

You already know that plumbing problems don't go away on their own. And waiting just increases the risks to your house. Plumbers see this hesitation all the time. Instead of regretting not calling earlier, just make that 2-minute call now and get your free estimate.

People also ask

Should heat tape be left on all winter?

That is a question for whoever installed it, since self-regulating cable and fixed-wattage cable behave differently and older tape can fail closed. What a plumber will look at is why the run needs tape at all. A pipe that only survives on cable is usually one that should be rerouted or sleeved instead.

Why does my house bang when the washer shuts off?

Water hammer, caused by fast-closing valves stopping a moving column of water with nowhere to go. It is common in homes with long straight copper runs and no arrestors. Left alone it works joints loose over time, which matters more here than in Fraser or Grand Lake only because the pipe is often less reachable.

Does a seasonal cabin need anything different?

A property that sits empty through the coldest stretch is usually either winterized and drained or kept above freezing with a monitored heat source. Half measures are what fail. Tell the plumber up front how the place is used, because it changes the whole approach.

Is my water pressure normal for this elevation?

Elevation itself does not set your house pressure, the supply and any regulator do. If fixtures have gone weak across the whole house at once, that points at the regulator or the service line rather than one faucet. Have someone check it at a hose bib rather than guessing.
