Common questions

How much does a plumber cost?

It depends on the job and how bad the problem is. That is why the first step is a phone call. Describe the problem and get your free estimate on the phone, with upfront pricing.

Will I talk to a real person?

Yes, you will.

Do I need to fill out a form?

No forms and no waiting on emailed quotes. One phone call is all it takes.

Can I get help at night or on a weekend?

We have plumbers ready to help families in the community 24/7, but moment-to-moment availability depends on demand. Call to find out how soon we can service your home.

Should I wait to call?

You already know that plumbing problems don't go away on their own. And waiting just increases the risks to your house. Plumbers see this hesitation all the time. Instead of regretting not calling earlier, just make that 2-minute call now and get your free estimate.

People also ask

How long should a water heater last with hard water?

Mineral content shortens the life of a tank, often noticeably, because sediment builds on the bottom and the burner works through it. Rumbling and reduced hot water are the early signs. Once a tank is weeping at the base the decision has been made for you.

Is a water softener worth it here?

It depends on your actual water hardness, which needs testing rather than assuming. Where hardness is high, softening reduces scale in the heater and on fixtures. It is a supply-quality decision and has nothing to do with heating or irrigation.

Why do copper pipes develop pinhole leaks?

Water chemistry, high velocity through undersized pipe, and contact with dissimilar metals all contribute. A single pinhole is repairable; several in the same area usually means the run is telling you something. A plumber will look at pressure as part of that.

Who is responsible for a leak on the street side of the meter?

The utility generally handles its side of the meter or curb stop, and the homeowner handles the service line to the house. Establish which side before anyone digs. That rule holds in Hotchkiss and Cedaredge as well.
