Common questions

How much does a plumber cost?

It depends on the job and how bad the problem is. That is why the first step is a phone call. Describe the problem and get your free estimate on the phone, with upfront pricing.

Will I talk to a real person?

Yes, you will.

Do I need to fill out a form?

No forms and no waiting on emailed quotes. One phone call is all it takes.

Can I get help at night or on a weekend?

We have plumbers ready to help families in the community 24/7, but moment-to-moment availability depends on demand. Call to find out how soon we can service your home.

Should I wait to call?

You already know that plumbing problems don't go away on their own. And waiting just increases the risks to your house. Plumbers see this hesitation all the time. Instead of regretting not calling earlier, just make that 2-minute call now and get your free estimate.

People also ask

Why do retrofitted pipes freeze more than original ones?

Because they usually take the path that was easiest to run, along an exterior wall or under a floor, rather than the path that stays warm. Original plumbing in a house designed around it tends to sit deeper inside the building. That routing difference matters more than the age of the pipe.

Is it worth insulating a crawlspace instead of the pipe?

In a lot of houses here, yes, because warming the whole space protects every run at once rather than the sections you can reach. Sealing outside air out is the first part of that. Pipe wrap on its own only slows the clock.

What happens if a well line freezes?

The house loses water and the pump may keep trying against a blocked line, which risks the pump as well as the pipe. Cut power to the pump at the breaker if you suspect that. Then get it looked at rather than forcing it.

Does insurance cover water damage from a frozen pipe?

It depends entirely on the policy and the circumstances, so contact your insurance provider before you assume. Occupancy and whether the heat was maintained often matter to a carrier. Take photographs before any cleanup starts, wherever the property sits in the valley near San Luis or closer in.
