Common questions

How much does a plumber cost?

It depends on the job and how bad the problem is. That is why the first step is a phone call. Describe the problem and get your free estimate on the phone, with upfront pricing.

Will I talk to a real person?

Yes, you will.

Do I need to fill out a form?

No forms and no waiting on emailed quotes. One phone call is all it takes.

Can I get help at night or on a weekend?

We have plumbers ready to help families in the community 24/7, but moment-to-moment availability depends on demand. Call to find out how soon we can service your home.

Should I wait to call?

You already know that plumbing problems don't go away on their own. And waiting just increases the risks to your house. Plumbers see this hesitation all the time. Instead of regretting not calling earlier, just make that 2-minute call now and get your free estimate.

People also ask

What is scale and why does it matter inside pipe?

It is mineral deposit that builds on the inside surface over years, narrowing the bore and roughening it. Flow drops, the water heater loses efficiency and fixtures clog at the aerator. It builds slowly enough that most people do not notice until pressure is clearly poor.

Should I replace a hose bib that leaks only when the hose is on?

That usually points at the packing or the vacuum breaker rather than the valve seat, and both are repairable. Left alone, the leak tends to worsen and can wet the wall behind it. It is small work compared with what water in a wall costs.

Do I own the sewer line to the main?

Yes, the lateral from the house to the public connection is the property owner's. That includes any portion under a street or alley in most arrangements here. It surprises people, which is why it is worth knowing before there is a backup.

Is it worth having a camera inspection before buying an older house?

Many buyers do, because the sewer lateral is the one part of the plumbing a visual inspection cannot see. It is particularly useful on properties with mature trees. The same advice applies to older places over toward Olathe.
